Job Description
1. Purpose
To Support the trade sales department with customer centred projects, acting as the first point of contact on all issues regarding trade sales.
To undertake the day-to-day operations of a busy trade department.
To maintain a high level of professional sales support to existing customers.
To develop new customer accounts and maintain these new accounts.
The person appointed will:
Have direct contact with potential and existing customers
Be able to work under pressure
Be self motivated with a personal drive to success
Have good PC knowledge
Possess good telephone manner
2. Main duties and responsibilities
* Telephone support for client ordering processes. Processing customer orders where appropriate.
* Direct telephone sales enquiries
* Maintaining customer records using in-house systems.
* Telephone and e-mail promotion work as required. Notifying customers of new or updated product and price changes.
* Liaison with suppliers and customers concerning product availability.
* Departmental administration duties.
* Scheduled sales promotion activities.
* Administration and monitoring response of e-mail sales promotions.
* Internet searching for new sales opportunities.
* Database construction and analysis.
* Liaison with warehouse, technical support, design and Securit World management.
3. Supervision received
The post holder will report to the Sales Director and his/her absence to senior account executive.
Supervision will be on a regular basis. However, the post holder will be expected to interpret regulations and identify appropriate solutions if problems occur.
4. General requirements
The post holders will establish and maintain constructive working relationships with all members of the company and with clients both on a one-to-one basis and through team working. He/She will co-operate to develop and continuously improve the services of the trade sales department and Securit World in general.
At all times due regard will be given for health, safety and welfare of all members of the company.

Person Specification
1. The successful candidate can either anticipate or should be prepared to:
* Work from 0930 to 1730 Monday to Friday with lunch break between 1300 &1400
* Fluctuate their hours when required
* Work within a small sales team
* Be of clean and smart appearance both in the office and at client sites
* Hold a valid driving licence
* Have good organisational skills
* Provide weekly activity reports as required
* Attend sales meetings
* Acquire and develop new skills
* Adapt to changing situations/systems, etc, which may involve working under pressure
2. Education/Qualifications
Essential:
"A" Level or equivalent
Microsoft Office
Keyboard skills
3. Experience
Essential:
Customer care skills, particularly telephone and front end
Communications skills, written and oral, with all levels of staff, clients and suppliers
A working understanding of sales techniques
